Sherwin-Williams Partners With Orlando City Sherwin-Williams Logo To Appear On Orlando City Shorts In 2013
Orlando, Fla.—Orlando City SC announced Wednesday that Sherwin-Williams is the newest sponsor of the club, with their logo appearing on the shorts for the 2013 season. In an active offseason that has already seen the naming rights of the Citrus Bowl (Fifth Third Bank Field at the Florida Citrus Bowl) secured, fans will see the pant sponsorship beginning at the home opener on Sunday, April 14, against the Rochester Rhinos. “Orlando is an important market for us,” said Jason Riveiro, Multicultural Marketing Manager of SherwinWilliams. (The game) is such an important passion point for our customers and since Orlando already has such a strong base of supporters, it attracted us to the franchise.” SherwinWilliams joins Orlando Health, LEGOLAND ® Florida and Lifemax as partners that are featured on the Orlando City kit. The Sherwin-Williams partnership also marks the first time a sponsor has appeared on the pantleg of any Orlando City kit. “We also know that Orlando City is a winning brand and a winning team,” Riveiro continued. “They are a team that is on the right track and we’re excited to see what the future holds for Orlando. “
Key pieces of sponsorship still remain for Orlando City as they continue to build toward becoming a Major League Soccer (MLS) franchise, including stadium branding.
