Statistics, expected roster for the Lions in Saturday's match against the Columbus Crew

Orlando City’s unbeaten record against Toronto FC was broken Wednesday night after falling to the Reds. The team went into the half not conceding any goals, but three second-half strikes by Toronto led to the eventual 3-0 scoreline.

Taking what the team learned Wednesday, the Lions are moving on to a new opponent, the Columbus Crew. Let’s look at today’s By The Numbers….

1st- Saturday’s match marks the first time Orlando has ever played the Columbus Crew in franchise history. The Lions are 2-5-3 (W-L-T) against MLS competition in the club’s short existence.

3 –Even though a win and three points would not propel Orlando to the top of Group A, it could possibly affect placement. There are multiple scenarios to where Orlando would go after a win, but we’ll have to wait and see on the outcome Saturday to find out.

2 – Number of trialists who started the game against Toronto FC. The two, Freddie Bruan and Kemmar Daley, also started in the 1-1 draw vs. Philadelphia Union on Saturday.

10- Columbus Crew Head Coach Robert Warzycha made 10 changes to the starting 11 from the club’s previous Pro Soccer Classic match. Columbus have set themselves a part in this year’s classic, holding a score differential of +5 through two matches played.
