U23s Tryouts: March 16 & 17 Application to tryout for 2012 USL PDL Southern Conference Champions now available
ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando City announced today that tryouts for the Under 23 Premier Development League (PDL) squad have been set for March 16 and 17, at the Seminole Soccer Complex in Sanford, Fla. The U23s are the reigning Southern Conference Champions and aim to build on their final four season from a year ago. Newly appointed Manager Paul Shaw believes the tryout process is an effective system to potentially find players, currently under the radar, that would fit in well with his squad. “We’re looking for young, hungry and talented players that want to take their game to the next level and can help us build on our recent success,” said Shaw. During the two day span, the tryouts will use the same format as the recently completed professional team tryouts. Players will be placed onto teams allowing them to showcase their talent by playing against each other in scrimmages. Both the Saturday and Sunday sessions will kick off at 8 A.M. and run until 10 A.M. Registration is now open online. The cost to participate in tryouts is $80 and the deadline to register is Friday, March 8. To participate in the tryouts, players must be at least 16 years of age.
