Daniel Dennis To Join Orlando City As Brand Ambassador Local Personality Joining Club To Lead Team’s New Podcast
Orlando City is proud to announce that Daniel Dennis will be joining the Lions for the 2013 season as the club’s brand ambassador, leading the team’s new podcast dubbed “Soccercast” while making appearances at the Citrus Bowl for all City home matches. Formerly with Real Radio, Dennis served as an on-air personality and producer for over 16 years. “I’m speechless to tell you the truth,” Dennis said. “I think it’s so cool to think about working for a product you really love. I will hopefully impact Orlando’s team and bring a new aspect to the club moving forward.” Dennis is one of the top personalities on local radio, having a dedicated fan base that includes over 17,000 followers on Twitter. A native of Central Florida, Dennis will bring knowledge of the market and energy to the concourse at the Citrus Bowl as a dedicated follower of the club since the Lions were announced in 2010. Generally known as light-hearted, Dennis described his position as “the Spud McKenzie of Orlando City SC” – in reference to the Bud Light commercials that ran in the late 1980s. Other job responsibilities for Dennis include leading fan tailgates, introductions and involvement with halftime entertainment and more.
