Orlando City Soccer Foundation Holds First Event Inaugural OCSF board meeting held last week in effort to raise funds for special projects
The inaugural Orlando City Soccer Foundation (OCSF) board meeting took place last week on November 7th, putting plans in place for the 2013 calendar of events. Board members Naome Bradshaw, Kirk Chin, Stephen Dinon, Maury Loscher, Catherine Philips and Sheridan Smith with OCSF Chair Kay Rawlins discussed a number of possible fundraising events around the Central Florida area. Those fundraising ideas included adult soccer tournaments, a music fest and a second round of Soccer & the City. The OCSF will be raising funds for a number of special projects, including: • Buying indestructible soccer balls for distribution in Central Florida to areas of need. For more information on the indestructible items, click here. The Orlando City Soccer Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and is dedicated to fulfilling the charitable objectives of the Orlando City Soccer Club by providing outreach programs, services and initiatives for individuals and organizations in need. We believe in using the sport of soccer and the powerful influence of the Orlando City organization to promote exercise and healthy eating to the children and families in our community and inspire them to reach their full potential. |
