"It won't affect how we prepare." - Adrian Heath
With Tropical Storm Isaac blanketing Central Florida with rain, one might expect it to limit Orlando City.  Not the case.  The team held a normal training session this morning, and expects to be fine the rest of the week.

"I was surprised at how little wind we had," said Midfielder Charlie Campbell.  "We were expecting 30+ mph winds, but it was pretty calm."

“We were out there today, and hope to get out on the grass tomorrow,” said Head Coach Adrian Heath.  “If not, we can go indoors.”

Just a short drive from the Lions training facility is XL Soccer World, an indoor soccer facility just off Lee Road.  On several occasions, the Lions have held training sessions at the complex when inclement arises.

“We have a great relationship with XL Soccer World, and they’re always very generous with the facility when we need it,” said Heath.  XL is also a sponsor of the club’s weekly radio show, the Orlando City Soccer Show, Tuesdays at 6 p.m. on AM 740 The Game.

Although Orlando City Youth Soccer teams have been forced to cancel training, don’t expect the pro Lions to be affected.

“If we can’t get on grass tomorrow, we’ll go indoors,” said Heath.  “The same on Wednesday if need be.  It won’t affect how we prepare.”
