Buddy Dyer calls on Orlando to wear purple in support of Orlando City
Today, City of Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer highlighted Orlando City Soccer Club in a message to the City Beautiful, and called on all Orlando residents to show support for their City.  Below is an excerpt from Mayor Dyer's message.

"Orlando City Soccer Club has given our community an opportunity to enjoy this international sport," said Dyer in the email message. "Our community's soccer enthusiasts have quickly become loyal fans. Last Friday, 8,932 people watched the final game of the regular season. With their drums, noise makers, flags and streamers, the team's fans create a non-stop barrage of cheers and noise at the games."

"In support of Orlando City Soccer Club, I ask all Orlando residents to wear purple on Friday, August 31. I also invite you to come out to City Hall Plaza next Wednesday, August 29, from 12 to 1 p.m. to meet players, coaches and owners of the team."
