Breast Cancer awareness month isn't until October, but Orlando City Soccer and Orlando Health are getting the ball rolling early raising money for Women Playing For T.I.M.E.

During the game against the Rochester Rhinos on July 14, Orlando City players will be wearing pink jerseys for the second year running, showing their support because real men wear pink.  The pink jerseys worn by the players will be auctioned off to help raise money for women's cancer research, eduction and outreach and all the WPFT programs.

The auction will run through the 15th, the day after the match, closing at 12 p.m, Noon. All the proceeds from the auction will go to Women Playing For T.I.M.E.

Each of Orlando City's players has a jersey that fans can bid on. The bidding has already started on all the players jerseys and the bidding has been constant since it opened, with prices varying from $50 all the way to $110 with three days of bidding left. And just remember the higher the bid the more money that gets donated to WPFT.

Worried about losing? Don't because pink jerseys will also be available for sale in the merchandise stands at the Citrus Bowl and specific Orlando Health (including ORMC, MD Anderson-Orlando, South Seminole Hospital and Dr. P. Phillips Hospital) locations in the next couple of weeks. Ten dollars from each jersey sold from merchandise and Orlando Health will go to WPFT.

Women Playing for T.I.M.E., a volunteer organization, first focused its resources on breast cancer, but has branched out to support women with ovarian and other gynecological cancers. In less than 10 years WPFT has raised nearly $8.6 million that goes directly to benefit cancer Technology, Immediate diagnosis, Mammography and Education (T.I.M.E) at MD Anderson Cancer Center Orlando, part of Orlando Health.
