Dellicarri and Harris power Worcester to 12-3 victory
 
Brockton, MA— Dustin Harris hit a three-run home run, Michael Dellicarri went 3-3 with three RBIs and Henry Ennen pitched five innings of one-run baseball to give Worcester a 12-3 win in Brockton.
Worcester jumped out to an early lead against Evan Ferris. The Brockton starter walked six of the first eight batters he faced before being pulled with two outs in the top of the first. Three runs were walked in for the Bravehearts. They led 3-0 without recording a hit.
The Bravehearts would score four more runs in the second. After Mariano Ricciardi scored on a wild pitch, Dustin Harris hit a three-run homer to give Worcester a 7-0 lead. In the third inning, with runners on second and third, Dellicarri hit a two-run RBI single to extend the lead to nine. Dellicarri increased Worcester’s lead again in the fifth inning with an RBI double to score Chris Rinaldi.
Brockton got on the board in the fifth against Worcester starter Henry Ennen. After Matt Ronai singled, Kyle Ruth hit an RBI double to give Brockton a run.
In the sixth inning, Kirk Sidwell led off with a single for the Bravehearts. He then scored on an RBI double off the bat of Paul Gozzo. The Worcester catcher finished the day 2-3 with two RBIs. Rinaldi then ripped an RBI single to give Worcester their twelfth and final run. Brockton tacked on two more in the bottom half of the sixth thanks to a Jack Kelly two-run homer.
Henry Ennen picked up the win for Worcester. He pitched five innings, striking out seven and allowing one run off of just three hits. Ferris picked up the loss for Brockton, pitching just 0.2 innings and surrendering three runs off of six walks. The Rox used six pitchers in total.
With the win, the Bravehearts improve to 30-16 while the Rox fall to 23-24. Worcester continues play at home tomorrow against the first place Martha’s Vineyard Sharks at 7:00 pm.
