The Brewers offer limited-edition Timeless Ticket that guarantees tickets to future Brewers home games.

Dear Faithful Readers,
Gift cards are a great idea.
You can use them whenever you find it to be convenient or when you really want something. A lot of companies also love gift cards because people won’t spend the entire amount on the card, allowing the company to make additional profit.
Going off of the convenient nature the Milwaukee Brewers came up with a great idea that will allow fans that purchase a Timeless Ticket, which gives fans the opportunity to choose any game they want to attend no matter the year or the type of game. Having the chance to save your ticket with hopes that your team makes it to the World Series to cash in and attend a game would be awesome.
The Brewers always seem to be ahead of the curve so it will be interesting to see if more teams and leagues start offering this idea to fans. Based on the results below, I bet we will see this idea pop up around the industry a lot more!

Milwaukee Brewers: Timeless Ticket

OBJECTIVES
What makes the United States Postal Service’s Forever Stamps special? You can buy them at the current first-class postage rate and they remain valid even if that rate rises in the future.
Inspired by the Forever Stamp came the Milwaukee Brewers’ Timeless Ticket promotion. The Brewers wanted to create a new and unique promotion that gave fans the chance to attend home games at Miller Park, whether it be in 2015 or 2050, even playoffs and championship games. This promotion is truly unique and accomplishes the vision they had of tapping into the continuity and timelessness of baseball. The Brewers hit a home run with the Timeless Ticket and this promotion separates themselves from the other ball clubs.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The unique Timeless Ticket opportunity allows the owner to redeem their ticket to any single future Brewers game at Miller Park, whether the game be 5, 10, or 20 years from now, regardless if it’s Opening Day or the 7th game of the World Series. The owner may also purchase three additional companion tickets to the game. Plus, the owner will also receive ticket vouchers to attend nine additional Brewers regular season home games!
The Timeless Ticket will consist of a brass ticket personalized with an engraving of the owner’s name and be authenticated through the Major League Baseball Authentication Program. The brass ticket weighs approximately one pound, is 6.25” by 3.5”, and sits on a wood display base. The Brewers wanted to distinguish the fans who purchased a Timeless Ticket from other fans and believed the display accomplishes their goal and would be a great addition to the owner’s office or home.
The promotion is limited to 1,000 fans. The cost of the ticket, which includes the brass engraved ticket and the actual ticket to the game of the owner’s choice, is $1,000. To redeem the Timeless Ticket, the owner must contact the Brewers box office with their individual information, provide a photo ID and the date of the game.

PARTNERSHIP
The Brewers had no external partners for this promotion. The design of the brass ticket is in-house and is built by a local company.
RESULTS
At the beginning stages of this promotion, the Brewers were unsure of how the Timeless Ticket would hold up. Currently, over 700 Timeless Tickets have sold! This shows that the price point of $1,000 for this promotion was appropriate. There has been great social media traction around the Timeless Ticket and the Brewers have generated buzz in the industry. Many major websites have also covered this promotion. The Brewers could not have imagined the turn-out of this promotion to be this successful early on. They expect to sell-out in the near future.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Brewers’ Timeless Ticket promotion is limited to 1,000 fans. Once sold out, this promotion will no longer be offered. The Brewers will look to implement variations of this type of promotion in the future as well as think of new and fresh promotions for their fans.
