Q: What’s the National Sports Forum?
 
A: The National Sports Forum is the largest annual cross-gathering of the top team sports marketing, sales, promotions and event entertainment executives from throughout the broad spectrum of teams and leagues, (i.e. NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, Minor Leagues, Racing, Colleges, etc.) in North America.
 
The NSF meets each year for three days of networking, idea sharing and listening to the industry’s top spokespeople, (keynote Speakers in the past have included Bud Selig, Commissioner of Major League Baseball; Kevin Plank, Chairman and CEO of Under Armour; Gary Bettman, Commissioner of the National Hockey League; Howard Schiltz, Chairman, Starbucks Coffee Company; Ted Leonsis, Majority Owner, Washington Capitals; and Tony Ponturo, Former VP Global Media and Sports Marketing, Anheuser – Busch.)

A: The 2016 National Sports Forum will be held in Portland, OR, February 14-16, 2016.
 
Q: What is the refund policy?
 
A: The National Sports Forum will offer a refund if a written request is received prior to December 15th, 2015 (your refund is subject to a $75.00 administration fee). Unfortunately, requests received after December 15th, 2015 cannot be honored.

A: All vendors are featured on the NSF website and in the NSF Official Program (150 word company description and logo). Additionally, there is a special Exhibitor Breakout Session at the conference and a pre-conference attendee roster.

Q: What is the difference between the ADchievement Awards and the SAMMY Award?
 
A: The ADchievement Awards recognize the best sports advertising of the year regardless of measurable results. The Sammy Award acknowledges the years best sales, advertising, or marketing idea based on the overall objective, action, and results. SAMMY is a results oriented award.
 
In short, ADchievement can fit one of the eight categories, television, print, internet-based, etc. While SAMMY is usually a multi-faceted campaign that attained major results.

A: The ADchievement Awards recognize the best sports advertising of the year. Split into eight categories, the ADchievement Awards acknowledge superior advertising in television, print, social/mobile media, out-of-home, alternative media, sales collateral, in-stadium/in-arena, and internet-web based.

Q: What is the SAMMY Award?
 
A: The SAMMY (Sales Advertising Marketing Management idea of the Year) Award recognizes the year’s most outstanding idea in regards to the overall objective, action and results.
 
It was developed to give recognition to those of you who came up with a killer idea, and followed through, creating higher ticket sales, activating more sponsorships, helping your organization improve their overall bottom line, etc.

NSF CASE CUP
 
Q: How many people are on a Case Cup Team?
 
A: Each school will be allowed to enter one (1) team into the 2016 competition with each team to consist of exactly four students from that school’s Masters or MBA program.
 
Q: Who is on the judging panel?
 
A: The judging panel, selected by the National Sports Forum, is a combination of sports industry professionals, topical experts, and academic professors. While judges may be familiar or involved in the case subject being discussed, the judges are not affiliated in any capacity with any of the masters programs or institutions participating in the competition. To determine the overall winner, students are judged based on the quality and content of their case response, overall presentation ability, and strength of their responses in the question and answer period.
