Well… The 2015 National Sports Forum is almost here.
This will be the last “Selling It…” issue until the conference is over. The past few months have flown by as we have begun to wrap up the prep work for the 2015 NSF. We can’t wait to get out to Cincinnati and get the show started!

OBJECTIVES
The San Diego Padres needed a quick and easy way to update their business database and a better way to identify the prospects that they needed to be targeting. The objectives were to cleanse and update the San Diego Padres’ business database and they decided to use Infogroup for this project. Infogroup leverages its industry leading U.S. Business Database and the National Change of Address to perform these functions.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Infogroup updated and standardized the Padres’ database’s addresses, appended specific firmographics and flagged duplicates in the customer file. Firmographics are a set of characteristics of organizations, which are most likely to spend money on your product or service. The updated data was re-implemented into the Microsoft Dynamics CRM and used by the Padres’ sales team.

PARTNERSHIP
San Diego Padres chose to team up with Infogroup to improve their database system. Infogroup is a data and marketing services company that provides information to generate sales leads, find new customers, and develop direct mail, email and telemarketing campaigns. They are the leading provider of innovative business data, and marketing solutions that are proven to increase customer acquisition and retention.
RESULTS
Infogroup was able to update 65 percent of the Padres’ business records with firmographic information that enables better segmentation for prospecting targets with high propensity to purchase. Overall, Infogroup updated the Padres’ database to better fit their business needs.
LOOKING AHEAD
Infogroup has proven to be a successful partner for the San Diego Padres. This partnership will allow the Padres’ sales team to more accurately target prospects based on industry, company size, and contact title. It also allows the team to profile existing business clients.
