The NSF Announces its 2012 Steering Committee MVP Award

San Diego, CA (6/20/2012) – The National Sports Forum, the largest cross-team sports sales and marketing conference in North America, is pleased to announce its 2012 Steering Committee MVP in preparation for the upcoming 2013 National Sports Forum in Orlando, FL (January 27- 29, 2012).

The 2012 NSF Steering Committee “Most Valuable Player” Award was awarded to Marc Bluestein, Founder and President, Aquarius Sports & Entertainment. The award goes to the person who performed the best of the 20-member committee. This is the first time that Marc has taken home the NSF Steering Committee MVP Award, and received the Rookie of the Year Award in 2011.

Marc Bluestein is the president and founder of Aquarius Sports & Entertainment, a sports sponsorship, entertainment, and event marketing agency. An industry veteran, Marc started Aquarius in January of 2008 after many years experience in the sports and entertainment marketing field.

Marc has more than 18 years experience in negotiating and implementing sponsorship deals at the national, regional and local levels for teams as well as Fortune 500 clients. At Aquarius, he oversees the day-to-day operations, sales, and sponsorship consulting efforts for the agency’s client roster, which includes AAA, Target Corporation, idegy, the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the National Football League.

Prior to Aquarius, Marc held several industry positions at Sports Illustrated and Comcast SportsNet, as well as agency positions working on brands such as Coca-Cola, Phillips Norelco, and Proctor and Gamble.

Over the course of his career, he has developed, negotiated and activated integrated sponsorship agreements with properties such as the Super Bowl, the Olympics, the NCAA Men’s Final Four, the PGA Tour, and multiple NFL, NHL, NBA, and MLB teams.

Marc attended the University of South Florida, where he studied Business Administration and Marketing. Marc and his wife live in Clarksburg, MD with their two sets of twins. Marc enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, and playing racquetball. Active in the community, Marc also donates his time to several philanthropic initiatives and serves on United Way’s U.S.A. National Board of Directors.

About the Forum: The National Sports Forum, now heading into its 18th year, is an annual three-day sales and marketing gathering that brings together over six hundred of the top team, event, agency, and sponsorship executives to network, share best practices, and explore issues and opportunities that affect the team/event sports industry.
