I can’t believe that we are closing in on July. It seems like not too long ago we were in Dallas for the 2014 NSF Forum back in February.

One thing I took away from the Forum is that teams must get creative when reaching out to clients to sell tickets. As you will read in the article below, the San Diego Chargers have teamed up with Channel 1 Media and their ePitch platform to deliver customized presentations to their prospective clients.

More and more teams are starting to use this type of service and it is good to know that the Chargers and Channel 1 Media have enjoyed their partnership together.

OBJECTIVES

Tickets are the most vital sales revenue of any sports team. With the lure of being able to watch the game from home, teams have had to get creative to bring people into the stadium. That considered, Channel 1 Media has created an online platform called ‘ePitch’ which focuses on exactly what teams are looking for; creativity. With each presentation completely customizable, ePitch has become the new way to personally appeal to fans and ultimately sell tickets.

The Chargers looked to ePitch after working with Channel 1 Media on a season ticket renewal eBrochure. Built off of this initial online program, ePitch allowed the Chargers to use the same innovative technology to appeal to new prospects and future season ticket members. “After a thorough and detailed assessment of what we wanted to achieve in an electronic sales brochure we quickly determined the ePitch product would meet our needs and objectives,” said Todd Poulsen, Chargers Senior Director of Ticket Sales and Services.

 

PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

ePitch is a powerful, easy to use, customizable sales presentation tool developed specifically for sports. It’s the latest way to create exciting presentations showcasing a team’s entire inventory – by turning a generic linear slideshow into an interactive online visual experience – in just minutes.

Seamlessly integrated within a team’s unique brand, ePitch is completely modular enabling reps to create presentations that focus exclusively on Season Tickets, Partial Plans, Hospitality or Groups by simply turning sections On or Off. Reps can also change the order of sections and create a customized page anywhere they wish. Built in HTML5, ePitch can also be viewed on any tablet, computer or smartphone.

Fully integrated with all major CRM systems – including Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and Eloqua – ePitch helps reps close business more efficiently. And, with instant tracking, reps can follow their client’s every move, right down to the actual device they used.

ePitch is perfect for new proposals, follow-ups and summaries. It’s also the ideal tool for corporate partnership presentations.

The Chargers partnered with Channel 1 Media to utilize the ePitch platform – which is now being used by over 25 different teams as part of their daily sales routine.

RESULTS

Since using ePitch, the Chargers have developed over 2,700 customized presentations through their 25 reps and have seen some very tangible results. Not only has it improved their efficiency, but it has sped up their sales process.

LOOKING AHEAD

The Chargers will continue using ePitch for the creation of their customized sales presentations while Channel 1 Media expands the platform’s features.
