2009 NATIONAL SPORTS FORUM WRAP UP

With tremendous gratitude to the 2009 NSF hosts, sponsors, and partners, the 2009 Forum in Greater Phoenix, AZ was a great success.  As the Forum grows and the family becomes larger, there are many memories to share and new relationships to be pursued in the months to come.  To give a glimpse of The 2009 National Sports Forum, here is a special edition of Selling It..."2009 Forum Wrap Up"

The 3rd annual Case Cup Competition kicked off on Saturday with the six schools from the previous two competitions, along with the addition of two expansion schools: University of Memphis and UNC Charlotte. SUNDAY, JANUARY 25

From the overwhelming success of last year’s NFL Sales Meeting in Memphis, three other meetings were held on Sunday. MLB, Minor League Baseball and College Athletics had day long meetings, along with the NFL.

Additionally, the Case Cup Competition finalists presented their cases to the following panel of judges: Dan Carpenter, Homestead-Miami Speedway; Stacey Cohen, Phoenix Coyotes; Wendy Grover, Anaheim Ducks/Honda Center; Elana Kutz, Phoenix Regional Sports Commission; Abe Madkour, Sports Business Journal; David Stotlar, University of Northern Colorado; David Synowka, Robert Morris University; and Bob Walker, Connexions Sports & Entertainment.

The NSF also hosted a Web/Digital Media session that was led by Pat Coyle, Founder of Sports Marketing 2.0 and Executive Director of Digital Business for the Indianapolis Colts.

After the Case Cup finalists presented, all eight teams had a chance to unwind and network amongst themselves after two days of continuous preparation and execution of the case.
