In a five goal thriller our U13 Boys came back from behind to defeat cross-town rivals  FC America 3-2.

The visitors struck first right on the half-hour mark. The scoreline remained 1-0 at the halftime break.  Despite going down early, the young men of Orlando still kept their cool, which ultimately led them to victory.

Combining with David Lorera, Mathieu Kautz started the comeback for the Lions scoring his first of three goals eight minutes after the start of the second half. Kautz and Lorera would link up again just two minutes later, quickly turning the tide from a one goal deficit to a one goal lead.

The young Lions scored their final goal almost 20 minutes later when Jovan Jardine threaded a superb through-ball in-between two FC America defensemen. Kautz, running at full-speed on the counter-attack, gladly and easily received the Jardine’s service and continued down the pitch. Once Kautz had control of the ball it was easy see that these young man was hungry for more.  Kautz put the U12 squad up 3-1 over FC America, sealing the victory for his side and completing his hat-trick.

FC America attempted to mount a come-back but the Lions held firm.  Aaron Wright’s strike in the 69th minute fell for nothing as City kept the scoresheet clean for the rest of the match.
