Orlando, Fla.- Orlando City SC announced today that the club will provide live online broadcasts in both English and Portuguese language for each OCSC home game in 2014. City has made notions of their aspirations to become a global brand and becomes the first professional sports team in the United States to provide online broadcasts in both English and Portuguese.

To provide the Portuguese commentary for the broadcast, the club has hired former TV Globo and SportTV commentator Marcos Peres. A native of Brazil, Peres has extensive knowledge in international communications having previously reported on a variety of high-profile sporting events and teams.

With Da Silva coming on board as the majority owner in 2013, Orlando City has been keen on becoming a prominent brand not only
within the United States but also outside of the nation’s borders as well. Last year, the club launched an Orlando City Brasil Facebook page which has already climbed to over 700,000 likes.

The Portuguese broadcasts will begin with the Lions’ match against the Rochester Rhinos on Saturday, April 5. Kick-off for City’s match against the Rhinos is set for 7:30 p.m. EST.
