Below is one of many letters written in the past 12 hours to local and state legislatures in support of Major League Soccer in Central Florida. Thank you to all of you who have written and called, and if you haven't yet click here for contact details to pledge your support of House Bill #219/Senate Bill #306.

“Good morning,

Please take the time to vote for the legislation (House Bill #219/Senate Bill #306) to give Major League Soccer (MLS) equal standing with the other professional sports leagues. MLS coming to Central Florida will create jobs, bring revenue and create opportunities in Florida. If we want Central Florida to be a draw for young educated professionals, there has to be the culture and entertainment to bring them here.

This is a unique opportunity for Central Florida. MLS wants to come here, and people like me want to buy season tickets when they get here. However in order for that to happen, the affirmative vote from you needs to occur. The owners are simply asking for the same treatment as other major league teams in the state. Please vote on this right away!"

Thank you,

-John W

Below is also a recent Tweet from MLS Commissioner Don Garber and Vice President of Communications Dan Courtemanche, saying they are "strong supporters of the Orlando stadium plan" as they are "hoping to see support in Florida House for stadium support bill."
