Michael Ross Foundation Celebrity Softball Game

10/01/2009 9:16 AM -

The foundation was established in memory of Michael Paul Ross, son of Tony and Kathy Ross, who passed away at the age of 5 from Tay-Sachs disease.  The proceeds of the foundation go to the Bay Cliff Health Camp in Big Bay, MI.  This camp is for handicapped children only, many with special care needs.  The summer camp lasts six weeks and gives the children the ability to participate in activities while learning specific strategies to aid them and their handicaps.  Funding is raised to help families with the financial burden that comes with visiting the camp.

Gates will open at 4:00 on Thursday with a home run derby scheduled for 6:30.  First pitch of the softball game is set for approximately 7:15.  Tickets are all general admission and are $13 for adults, $6 for children 12 and under.  Children under 2 will be admitted for free.

Teams for the home run derby and the softball game will be comprised of sports and media celebrities.  Names are listed below and are subject to change.  The game will be seven innings and concession stands will be open during the contest.  Current NASCAR drivers will be on hand to sign autographs for those in attendance.

Autographs are free, but you must have a ticket to enter the gates.
