Eggleston Named Player of the Week

The Northern League has announced that Kansas City T-Bones centerfielder Aharon Eggleston has been named Player of the Week for the week ending May 24.

Eggleston, 27, hit .486 (17-for-35) with two doubles, two triples, a home run, six RBI and 10 runs scored in the opening days of the 2009 season.  After posting the franchise’s highest stolen base total since 2000 with 36 last season, Eggleston is four-for-four in stolen base attempts so far this year.

Entering his third season with Kansas City, Eggleston has played in 195 of a possible 200 games with the T-Bones, posting a .335 mark (251-for-750) in that span.

Schaumburg Flyers hurler Dustin Glant was named Pitcher of the Week after going 2-0 with a 1.13 ERA and one complete game.
