Potters Win Big Against the Eagles

The Potters won a Saturday matchup with the River Park Eagles 20-3. The Eagles opened with 2 runs in the first inning with on a 2-run home run. The Potters responded with a double from Jorge Bojorquez, an RBI sac fly error from Charles Middleton to make it 3-2. The Potters would score at least 2 runs in the first 4 innings. Lincoln would score a single run in the 5th and after not scoring a run in the 6th, they piled on 5 in the 7th inning to make it 16-2. The inning was capped off by a 2-run moonshot from Anthony Hansen. They scored 4 more runs in the 8th inning including a 2-run home run from Jarred Gibson. The Potters offense has scored 39 runs in the last 3 games including a 16 run performance and a 20-run performance over that time. Potters pitching has also only given up 7 runs in their last 3 games. The team has been hitting and pitching well of late to improve their record to 15-4.

Jake Frederick started a strong night from the Potters pitching staff. He went 4 innings, allowed 5 hits and 3 walks but struck out 6. He did give up the 2-run home run but was able to work out of trouble all night to maintain the Potters lead. He got the win for the Potters. The Patterson, Carriger, Brucato, Kujowski, Wurm combination went 5 innings and gave up 5 hits while giving up only one unearned run and striking out 8 hitters.

The Potters offense dominated the game as well as the top of the Potters offense continues to hit. Eddie Park, Jorge Bojorquez, Charles Middleton, Daniel Susac each picked up 2 hits. Jarred Gibson and Anthony Hansen each had 2-run home runs. Gibson led the tema in RBI with 4 on the night. The Potters offense continues to click and it’s coming from all parts of the lineup as Keshawn Ogans is hitting over .430 on the year and was batting in the 7 spot for Lincoln.
