T-Bones Sign KU Catcher

KANSAS CITY, Kan. – The Kansas City T-Bones of the independent Northern League have announced the signing of catcher Dylan Parzyk.  Parzyk just completed his college career at the University of Kansas in Lawrence where he spent the last two years.  During that stretch he played in 77 games and hit three home runs while knocking in 11.  Parzyk, a native of Vista, California , played his first two years of college ball at Palomar Junior College .

 

 

“With the injury to Jeremy McIntyre, we were looking for a guy to come in on short notice,” said T-Bones manager Andy McCauley.  “We were lucky that he (Parzyk) just finished up at KU and we’re hoping he’ll be with the club the rest of the year.”

 

 

Parzyk will fill the roster spot vacated by Jeremy McIntyre who was placed on the inactive list today as a result of a separated shoulder he suffered in a collision at home plate last night.  McIntyre will be required to remain on the inactive list for a league mandated minimum of 30 days.  Last night was McIntyre’s first start of his professional career.

 

 

The T-Bones continue their series with the Cracker-Cats tonight at CommunityAmerica Ballpark with the first pitch scheduled for .
