Home Plate Project

The Railroaders Home Plate Project is a non-profit initiative for the purpose of fielding the needs of Johnson County families. Founded by the Railroaders ownership group, this food bank seeks to provide food and hope to our neighbors in need.

The Home Plate Project supplies groceries for families every other Saturday from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at The Depot at Cleburne Station, the home of the Railroaders. This is a drive-through program in the interest of total safety for all those involved.

We provide perishable and non-perishable food items to ANYONE in need of help - no strings attached. There is no regard to race, religion, age, social or financial status. We are here to help because it is our privilege to give.

If you are interested in serving, we have a place for you! We welcome you to get involved with our organization, either as a volunteer or by making a donation. If interested, please email John Junker at [email protected]. Come alone or bring a friend and help us serve our great Johnson County community at one of our bi-weekly events. Partner with us to reach our neighbors in need during this difficult time.

Volunteers are asked to arrive around 7:00-7:30 AM to prepare, with parking access available through the north gate. The line closes at 10:00 AM, but depending on the number of families, food may be handed out until 11:30 AM.

Special thanks to S.H.I.N.E Together, Pinnacle Bank, Open Door Ministries, Zimmerer Kubota and New Era for their partnership in helping to field the needs of Johnson County families!
