Clutch City Classic Recaps

By: Matt Reese

Well done, Houston.

Over 100 teams descended upon the Bayou City to show up and show out their talent in the Clutch City Classic. Great play highlighted the weekend that featured some of the top teams in Texas, along with a plethora of scouting services taking in the action.

If you weren't following along, here's what you missed.

First, check out #CCClassic on Twitter for updates that were flowing in throughout the weekend. Girlz Prep Report's Simmie Colson was all over the place, spotlighting the future stars of the women's game. From 5th grade up to Varsity Girls, Colson has a knack for spotting talent.

You can read his Tip Sheet for the CCClassic and check out his team reports on the best of the best by visiting his blog, or following the links provided.

As part of the PrimeTime Exposure Circuit, the Clutch City Classic also featured complete coverage from Lonestar Prep Spotlight and Future 150.

The energizer bunny of the boys circuit, Ani Umana, was in H-Town to provide a watchful eye on some great talent in the men's game. His Day 1 and Day 2 RECAP of the CCC features over 15 of the top players in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 classes on the weekend.

Also in the building was the Future 150 crew. Jason Pratt wasn't shy on the weekend, watching and scouting hundreds of players that took to the courts. His Saturday recap alone highlights 16 players that stood out from the mass of talent. His Sunday Recap did more of the same.

The Exposure Circuit was created for you, the players, to gain recognition for the hard work and sacrifice you put in each day. With six events — Elite Hoops Showcase, Hoop Jam Fest, Capital Classic, D-Town Roundball, Southwest Regional Championship and the Grand Finale – there is still PLENTY of time to see your name in bright lights.

REGISTER now for the Exposure Circuit events, and earn your team coveted Q-Points to potentially gain sponsorships to the Regional championships and the 2016 National Basketball Championship
