At PrimeTime Sports, we strive to bring you “The Best Game in Town.” We are always looking for ways to improve our tournaments, leagues and the competition level of our events.

This week, PrimeTime is taking a step forward.

We are happy to announce the addition of Josh Woodson as the PrimeTime Elite Market Manager for Basketball Operations.

"The addition of Josh [Woodson] to our team is exciting," said PrimeTime Sports CEO David Stephens. "Josh is highly respected in the basketball market, espescially in the elite circuit, and we're looking forward to seeing what he brings to PrimeTime events."

Woodson is certainly not a rookie when it comes to the competitive basketball circuits. He started out as a coach in the late 2000s, before creating Lone Star Prep Spotlight in 2012.

In fact, Woodson is a PrimeTime NBC veteran. His teams have won their division in the NBC three times over the past eight years. Last season, his Team Texas 14U squad took home the EYB Classic tournament in May, as well. 

As he started to gain knowledge and experience in the select basketball circuit, Woodson initiated Lone Star Prep Spotlight to recognize young basketball players — mostly in junior high — and spotight their talent. His first tournament had only 16 teams, but it eventually grew to tournaments of 200+ teams.

Now at PrimeTime, Woodson will be in charge of growing the competitive markets for both grassroots and elite teams in the DFW area, across the entire Texas Region and the 2016 National Basketball Championship in July  

“My goal is to bring elite-travel basketball to Texas,” Woodson said. “I want to create a great brand of basketball at PrimeTime events in all levels of competition, from grassroots, to select, to elite.

“It would be great to bring the shoe company teams — Nike, Under Armour, Adidas — to PrimeTime events, while continuing to provide great competition for younger grassroots teams as well.”
