LINCOLN, Neb. (Aug. 29, 2019) – Eudis Idrogo tossed six shutout innings and the bullpen followed with three zeroes of their own, as the Cleburne Railroaders secured an important 2-0 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs on Thursday night at Haymarket Park. It was the seventh shutout win of the season for Cleburne, one more than the Railroaders recorded in the previous two seasons combined.

Idrogo (9-5) was excellent, allowing only three hits and three walks over his six innings. He struck out five on the evening, including Randolph Oduber with the bases loaded to end the sixth. His five punchouts gave him 101 for the season, becoming the first Railroaders pitcher to reach 100 strikeouts in a year.

John Nester provided the offense for Cleburne with a solo home run in the top of the second and an RBI single in the top of the sixth, both against Lincoln starter Spencer Herrmann (2-5). Cleburne (56-40) managed only five hits on the night, but held Lincoln (39-56) to the same number.

The Railroaders bullpen locked down the final three innings. Jared Wilson tossed a zero in the seventh, Nefi Ogando picked up a pair of strikeouts in a scoreless eighth, and Tyler Wilson picked up his 23rd save by pitching around a one-out single.

Cleburne and Lincoln conclude the series on Friday at 7:05 PM. Left-hander Michael Gunn (5-0, 3.12) gets the ball for the Railroaders, while the Saltdogs counter with righty John Brownell (8-5, 3.61).
