Patrick Palmeiro had an RBI double, and Alex Polston went 1-for-4 with an RBI single. All nine Cleburne starters collected at least one hit, and seven of the nine scored at least one run.
Cleburne reliever Roman Gomez gave up one unearned run over three innings, and Patrick Young became the first Railroader other than Shawn Blackwell to notch a save with a scoreless 9th.
The Railroaders chased Fargo-Moorhead starter Will Solomon in the 2nd inning, having given up seven runs on eight hits with two walks and a strikeout. Reliever Reece Gregory tossed the remaining 7.2 innings, giving up a run on five hits with no walks and four strikeouts.
The win gives Cleburne its first road series win and first series win since June 29-July 1 over Kansas City.
The Railroaders now go for their first sweep of 2018 in the series finale tomorrow at 1:00 p.m. Cleburne will throw RHP Patrick Mincey, and the RedHawks will send newly-acquired Mike Tamburino to the mound.
