RAILROADERS DROP GAME 2 TO T-BONES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 30, 2018
CLEBURNE, Texas – Angel Rosa clubbed a two-run homer against his former team, but Cleburne couldn’t overcome a shaky 6th inning in a 7-4 loss to the Kansas City T-Bones at The Depot on Saturday night.
Rosa’s homer cut a 5-2 deficit to just one run in the 6th – one of his two hits on the night. In four games since joining Cleburne (14-25), the utility man has five hits and five RBI after going 3-for-8 with a run scored against the Railroaders when the two teams met in Kansas City (25-14) last weekend.
Michael Gunn made his third start of the year and went 5.1 innings, giving up five runs – two earned – on three hits with four walks and nine strikeouts, but a three unearned T-Bone runs in the 6th inning gave Kansas City the lead for good.
After Nick Torres drilled an RBI triple to open the scoring in the 1st inning, Zach Walters added another with an RBI groundout.
Levi Scott, one night after tying a franchise record with six RBI, drove in two more with a two-out double into the right-center field gap in the 3rd inning.
The T-Bones added another run in the 7th and one more in the 8th before Carlos Diaz posted his sixth save of the year with a 1-2-3 9th inning.
T-Bones starter Tommy Collier went seven innings, giving up four runs on eight hits with one walk and 10 strikeouts.
K.C. Huth posted his second consecutive multi-hit game, and Blake Grant-Parks added two more hits of his own.
The Railroaders and T-Bones wrap up the three-game series on Sunday evening at 6:05 p.m. Cleburne will send RHP Jared Mortensen to the mound, and Kansas City will throw RHP Hunter Adkins. Good seats are still available and can be purchased at www.railroaderbaseball.com or by calling (817) 945-8705.
