CLEBURNE, Texas -- Laetten Galbraith went seven scoreless innings, and the Cleburne Railroaders shut out the Salina Stockade 3-0 at The Depot on Friday night.

Galbraith gave up just four hits with one walk and one strikeout, while Cortland Cox pitched a scoreless eighth and Winston Abreu added his league-leading 22nd save after working around a pair of singles to begin the ninth.

Cleburne scored first on Axel Johnson’s two-out RBI single in the sixth, and the Railroaders padded the lead with Nick Van Stratten’s RBI triple in the eighth, followed immediately by Geraldo Valentin’s run-scoring single.

Salina starter Josh Hodges gave up three runs on eight hits over eight innings, and the former Railroader has now given up just four runs over the last 15 innings against Cleburne.

Cleburne won for the 12th time in 18 games, and one more win in the series will ensure at least a .500 home record in 2017.

Hunter Courson led off the eighth with a double -- his first hit since Aug. 1 -- while pinch-hitting for Maikol Gonzalez, who left the game following an awkward slide at home scoring the game’s first run in the sixth.

Cleburne drew 2,583 people Friday night -- the fourth-most for a single game at The Depot in 2017.

The final home series of 2017 continues on Saturday. First pitch time with the Stockade is set for 7:06 p.m. and can be heard on the Railroader Radio Network with pregame coverage starting 20 minutes prior.

Good seats are still available and can be purchased at www.railroaderbaseball.com or by visiting the box office located near the main gate at The Depot.

Saturday is also the first of two consecutive fireworks nights, presented by First National Bank. The show will begin just a few minutes following the conclusion of the game.
