CLEBURNE, Texas -- Axel Johnson extended his hitting streak to eight games and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch in the eighth, and the Railroaders clinched the series with a 7-6 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs at The Depot on Tuesday night.

Johnson led off the eighth inning with a single to left. K.C. Huth walked and moved him to second before a double-steal put two in scoring position with one out.

Johnson scored when former big-leaguer Casey Crosby threw wide of home, and Cleburne is now 8-2 over the last 10 games.

The Railroaders had a 6-1 lead heading to the fifth before the Saltdogs scored five unanswered runs over the next three innings to tie the game.

Nick Van Stratten drove in two runs with his 200th career double in the first, and Alex Polston added on with an RBI double in the second.

Maikol Gonzalez added a run with a single in the fourth before Van Stratten drove in another with his second double later in the inning.

Alberto Rodriguez was ejected after hitting Cesar Valera and Curt Smith with back-to-back pitches in the fifth inning. After Valera was hit for the second time, the benches cleared and warnings were issued.

Rodriguez gave up three runs over four-plus innings -- his shortest start of the year -- and he issued four walks with three HBP. Laetten Galbraith earned his first win of the year with a scoreless eighth inning, and Winston Abreu recorded his league-leading 20th save in fifth over the last nine games with a 1-2-3 ninth.

The series finale of the three-game set is scheduled for Wednesday night. First pitch time is 7:06 and can be heard live on the Railroaders Radio Network with coverage beginning 20 minutes prior.

Wednesday is also Dollar Dog Night at The Depot. All hot dogs are just one dollar, and good seats still remain. Tickets can be purchased at www.railroaderbaseball.com or by visiting the box office located near the main gate at The Depot.
