 CLEBURNE, Texas -- Mitch Glasser tied a season high with four hits, but the Cleburne Railroaders fell 6-3 to the Sioux City Explorers Tuesday night at The Depot.

Glasser had four hits for the first time since May 26, and the Railroaders had 13 collectively, but Cleburne stranded six runners on over the final three innings and the Explorers evened the series.

Sioux City took a 3-0 lead to the fourth, but the Railroaders hit four straight singles to begin the inning -- including Axel Johnson’s RBI single -- before K.C. Huth flew out and Alex Polston bounced into a 4-6-3 double play to end the inning.

The Railroaders then trailed 6-1 heading into the eighth before K.C. Huth drove in a run with a bases-loaded sacrifice fly. Cleburne brought the tying run to the plate after scoring another run in the ninth, but Axel Johnson struck out to end the game.

Pichi Balet finished with two hits and an RBI, and Polston went 2-for-4 with a double. Geraldo Valentin finished with a pair of hits and a run scored.

Cleburne starter Patrick Mincey fell to 1-7 over his last nine starts after giving up five runs on eight hits over seven innings. Cortland Cox gave up a run in the eighth -- his first since July 19.

Sioux City starter Kramer Sneed gave up just one run on seven hits over seven innings.

The rubber match of the three-game set is scheduled for tomorrow. First pitch is set for 7:06 p.m. and can be heard live on the Railroader Radio Network with coverage beginning 20 minutes prior.

Wednesday night is also Dollar Dog Night along with Back-To-School Night. All school-age kids receive free admission into the ballpark, and all hot dogs are $1.
