CLEBURNE, Texas -- Cortland Cox went 2.2 scoreless innings of relief, but the Railroaders had just six hits in a 2-0 loss to the Salina Stockade at The Depot on Saturday night.

Cox relieved Alberto Rodriguez, who gave up two runs on seven hits over 6.1 innings, and left with a runner on third and one out in the seventh.

Salina starter Troy Mannebach went a season-high 6.2 scoreless innings with just six hits and two walks -- both of which came with two outs in the first inning before a flyout ended the threat.

Tyler Herr relieved Mannebach and went seven up, seven down with a pair of strikeouts to earn his fifth save.

Roche Woodard led off the game with his fifth homer, a solo shot to left field. In the seventh, Jesse Baker singled off of Rodriguez’s leg and into left field to score Trowbridge and extend the lead.

Axel Johnson went 2-for-4 with a pair of singles, and Mitch Abeita finished with his second multi-hit game in three appearances with Cleburne.

The Railroaders threatened with runners on the corners and one out in the third when Alex Polston laid down a squeeze bunt up the first-base line. Kewby Meyer fielded it and threw home to retire Johnson, and a flyout later ended the inning.

The finale of the four-game set is scheduled for Sunday. First pitch is 6:05 p.m. and can be heard live on the Railroader Radio Network with pregame starting 20 minutes prior.

Good seats for the remaining four games of the 14-game homestand are still available and can be purchased at www.railroaderbaseball.com or by visiting the box office located near the main gate at The Depot.
