CLEBURNE, Texas -- Nick Van Stratten went 2-for-4 with a double, but Cleburne gave up 10 hits in an 8-3 loss to the Kansas City T-Bones at The Depot on Wednesday night.

Van Stratten’s double pushed him two closer to 200 for his professional career, but the T-Bones scored the final seven runs of the game -- including two homers and five RBI from Kevin Keyes -- to win the series.

All three of Cleburne’s runs in the third inning were unearned, and Kansas City pitching retired nine consecutive Railroaders from the sixth to the ninth innings.

Cleburne starter Laetten Galbraith -- making his first start for Cleburne and first since last season -- gave up two runs on three hits over 3.2 innings. Onas Farfan gave up three runs over 2.2 innings of relief, and Bryce Beeler surrendered three runs on four hits over 2.1 innings.

Mitch Abeita -- signed just before first pitch -- singled in his first at-bat since 2014. Derrick Pyles drove in a pair of runs with a one-out single in the 3rd.

T-Bones starter Calvin Drummond gave up three unearned runs over six innings, and three Kansas City relievers combined for three scoreless innings to close it out.

Cleburne now turns to a four-game set with the Salina Stockade beginning Thursday. First pitch is set for 7:06 p.m. and can be heard on the Railroader Radio Network with pregame beginning 20 minutes prior.

Good seats for the four-game series are still available and can be purchased at www.railroaderbaseball.com or by visiting the box office located near the main gate at The Depot.
