CLEBURNE, Texas -- Derrick Pyles extended his hitting streak to nine with a single in the fourth inning, but the Railroaders put just one runner in scoring position in a 4-0 loss to the Wichita Wingnuts at The Depot on Saturday night.

Pyles has 19 hits with only one strikeout over his last nine games, but the Railroaders were shut out for the sixth time this year and Cleburne split the four-game set after winning the first two.

Cleburne had just four hits -- its lowest total since July 11 -- and no player reached base more than once.

Mitch Glasser, Hunter Courson and Alex Polston all singled, and the Railroaders didn’t work a walk for the second time in the series.

Cleburne starter Onas Farfan, making his first start of 2017, gave up two runs on four hits over 2.1 innings -- tied for the shortest start from a Railroader this year.

Laetten Galbraith, in his Cleburne debut, gave up a pair of runs over 2.1 innings, and Carlos Misell worked two scoreless frames. Cortland Cox had two strikeouts over 1.1 perfect innings, and he now has 15 punchouts over his last eight frames.

Wichita starter Jordan Cooper earned his fifth win with just three hits, four strikeouts and no walks over seven scoreless innings.

Cleburne has Sunday off before opening a three-game series with the Kansas City T-Bones on Monday. First pitch is set for 7:06 p.m. and can be heard live on the Railroader Radio Network with coverage beginning 20 minutes prior to first pitch.

Good seats are still available and can be purchased at www.railroaderbaseball.com or by visiting the box office located by the main gate at The Depot.
