Railroaders swept in Fargo07/23/2017 3:12 PM Article By: FARGO, North Dakota -- Derrick Pyles added three more hits, but the Fargo Moorhead RedHawks swept the Cleburne Railroaders with a 6-2 win at Newman Outdoor Field on Sunday afternoon. Pyles had six hits in the series and 16 total during the 10-game trip, but the Railroaders fell to 0-6 against the RedHawks and 1-9 on the road trip. Cleburne pitching walked nine batters for only the second time all year, and starter Jorge Martinez couldn’t get out of of the third inning with six walks over 2.1 innings. The Railroaders walked five consecutive RedHawks in a four-run third inning in which Fargo-Moorhead had only one hit. Martinez was pulled after issuing the first four of those five walks. K.C. Huth drove in both of Cleburne’s runs -- the first with a sacrifice fly and the second with a groundout -- and Geraldo Valentin finished with two hits. Carlos Misell tossed two scoreless innings with a walk and a strikeout, and Winston Abreu pitched a perfect eighth inning with a strikeout. Cleburne returns home to begin a 14-game homestand on Wednesday, July 26 against the Wichita Wingnuts.
