Railroaders club three homers in 12-9 win over Gary

GARY, Indiana -- Derrick Pyles went 3-for-5 with season-high six RBI and his first homer of 2017, and the Railroaders broke a six-game losing streak with an 11-9 win over the Gary SouthShore Railcats at U.S. Steel Yard on Thursday afternoon.

Pyles clubbed a three-run home run in the second inning, finishing the series with 10 RBI in only two games played.

The RailCats and Railroaders had resumed the bottom of the 11th inning earlier in the afternoon, and the RailCats walked off for the second consecutive game with an RBI single in the 14th inning.

In the second game, Cleburne hit a game-high three homers -- K.C Huth and Alex Polston went back-to-back in the third -- and the Railroaders finished with 16 hits.

The Railroaders finished with 46 hits -- the most in a three-game series this season.

Mitch Glasser reached five times and scored a season-high four runs, and Maikol Gonzalez reached three times and scored all three.

Hunter Courson hit a two-run double in a four-run first inning, and Oscar Mesa had a pair of singles after sitting in Game 2.

Harrison Lee gave up six runs on 10 hits over 3.1 innings, and Carlos Misell gave up a pair of runs over 1.2 innings. Onas Farfan, who was pegged with the loss in the second game, earned the win with four scoreless inning in Game 3.

The Railroaders now head east to Fargo, ND for a three-game set beginning Friday. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. and can be heard live on the Railroader Radio Network with pregame beginning 20 minutes prior to first pitch.
