Railroaders and RailCats postponed in 11th inning

 GARY, Indiana -- With two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the 11th, the the remainder of Cleburne-Gary has been postponed and will be resumed at 12:10 p.m. Wednesday afternoon.

The two teams will then play a scheduled seven-inning game 30 minutes at the conclusion of extra innings.

The RailCats will have the winning run 90 feet away and Randy Santiesteban due up.

Geraldo Valentin is 3-for-5 with two doubles and an RBI in the game, and Derrick Pyles is 3-for-5 with four RBI. Ermindo Escobar has reached three times and scored a season-high three runs.

After falling behind by four, the Railroaders took a 5-4 lead into the seventh inning, when the RailCats manufactured a run with a sacrifice fly to tie it.

Gary then took the lead with a one-out homer -- its third of the series -- in the 8th.

After Ermindo Escobar reached to begin the 9th, a sac-bunt and groundout set up Pyles to drive in the tying run with a bloop single to right.

Dylan Mouzakes went five innings and gave up four runs on eight hits, while Cortland Cox gave up a run with five strikeouts over three innings.

All of tomorrow’s action can be heard on the Railroader Radio Network. The pregame show will begin 10 minutes before first pitch of the resumed game.
