LINCOLN, Nebraska -- Geraldo Valentin drove in two runs in a six-run seventh inning, but the Railroaders couldn’t make up the last of a seven-run deficit in a 7-6 loss to the Lincoln Saltdogs at Haymarket Park on Saturday night.

Cleburne hit back-to-back singles on the first two pitches of the game, but didn’t have another hit before the seven-hit outburst in the seventh. Valentin, along with K.C. Huth, Maikol Gonzalez, Mitch Glasser and Derrick Pyles, drove in the runs in the six-inning frame.

Gonzalez finished with a triple, and Huth finished 2-for-4 and an RBI in only his fourth game in the leadoff spot.

Harrison Lee went five-plus innings and gave up seven runs on eight hits with four walks and four strikeouts, while Onas Farfan and Bryce Beeler combined for three scoreless innings of relief.

Cleburne finished with at least 10 hits for only the second time since June 28, and the six-run seventh inning was the Railroaders’ second-highest run total in one inning this year.

Lincoln starter Carlos Pimentel gave up five runs on seven hits over 6.2 innings, and Seth Wagner worked around a single in the ninth for his 10th save of the year.

The Railroaders continue the 10-game trip with the third game of the four-game set on Sunday. First pitch is set for 2:05 p.m. with pregame starting 20 minutes prior.

Cleburne returns home to begin a 14-game homestand on Wednesday, July 26 against the Wichita Wingnuts. Good seats are available and can be purchased at www.railroaderbaseball.com or by visiting the box office located near the main gate at The Depot.
