Mesa's three hits, Abreu's 900th game highlights 4-1 win over Lincoln

CLEBURNE, Texas -- Oscar Mesa finished 3-for-4 with a pair of RBI, and Cleburne took the first of four in a 4-1 win over the Lincoln Saltdogs at The Depot Thursday night.

Mesa extended his hitting streak to five with a single in the third inning, and his RBI single in the sixth gave Cleburne a 2-1 lead. Mesa later added another run with a triple in the eighth.

Winston Abreu threw a clean ninth inning with a strikeout to earn his 11th save of 2017 in the 900th appearance of his career, and Patrick Mincey gave up just one run on three hits over seven innings a night after being named to the 2017 American Association All-Star team.

Geraldo Valentin finished 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two runs scored, and Maikol Gonzalez doubled and scored in his return to the leadoff spot after a three-night hiatus.

Ermindo Escobar singled and was hit by a pitch, and Mitch Glasser finished 1-for-4 with a single in his first at-bat after being activated off of the disabled list.

Lincoln starter Bennett Parry -- the league leader in ERA -- gave up one unearned run over four innings in his first start off of the disabled list, and Leuris Gomez gave up the go-ahead run on three hits over two innings.
