CLEBURNE, Texas -- Blake Grant-Parks singled and scored an unearned run in the fifth inning, but the Salina Stockade evened the series with a 7-1 win over the Cleburne Railroaders at The Depot Tuesday night.

Grant-Parks had one of Cleburne’s five hits, and Stockade starter Brian Smith gave up just the one unearned runs on three hits with no walks over a season-high seven innings.

Cleburne starter Harrison Lee gave up two runs on four hits over five innings, and reliever Wander Perez -- making his first appearance since being moved to the bullpen -- gave up five runs over two-plus innings.

Salina scored four times in the seventh inning, highlighted by Jonathan Moroney’s two-run double and Logan Trowbridge’s two-RBI single, and Cleburne was retired in order in four of the nine innings and only twice advanced a runner past first base.

The top of Cleburne’s order -- K.C. Huth, Maikol Gonzalez, Axel Johnson and Geraldo Valentin -- went a combined 1-for-16 with four strikeouts, and only Alex Polston recorded an extra-base hit with his double in the eighth inning.

Amidst the ongoing injury issues, RHP Bryce Beeler started at DH -- the first time he’s started in the lineup in his professional career.

The two teams wrap up the three-game set Wednesday night. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m., and tickets can be purchased online at www.railroaderbaseball.com or by visiting the ticket office located near the main gate at The Depot.
