Mitch Glasser finished with five hits and four RBI, and the Cleburne Railroaders engineered their best offensive performance of the year in a 15-1 win over the St. Paul Saints at The Depot Monday night.

Glasser led an offense that set season highs with 15 runs and 17 hits, which included a pair of doubles and a home run from Brandon Tierney along with a couple of hits from Devan Ahart. Mike Blanke also knocked a double and added an infield single, and K.C. Huth drove in his first two runs of 2017 with an RBI double and a sacrifice fly.

The Railroaders trailed only after a leadoff home run in the first, and Cleburne answered back with two runs in the bottom-half of the frame. The Railroaders then scored once in the third, five times in the fifth, and twice in both the sixth and the seventh innings.

Starter Patrick Mincey threw seven innings, giving up just one run on six hits with one walk and six strikeouts. The Railroaders touched up Saints starter John Straka, who pitched on three days rest, for eight runs on 10 hits over five innings.

The Railroaders and Saints play the third game of a four-game set at The Depot Thursday night. First pitch is set for 7:06 p.m., and tickets can be purchased at www.railroaderbaseball.com or at the box office located down the third-base line at the The Depot.
