Andre Harrison Signs With WSOF

A new chapter for the unbeaten Harrison

(Long Island, NY., November 22, 2016) – In a whirlwind few weeks, Long Island’s Andre Harrison’s dreams are coming true. In a little more than five weeks, the undefeated former Titan FC featherweight champion will make his World Series of Fighting debut on December 31 at Madison Square Garden.

“The Bull” Harrison announced a month ago that Titan FC and Harrison have parted ways after three years and will he make his return to the ROC (Ring Of Combat) against Ohio native, Julian Lane, on November 18 at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City. However, that fight was canceled due to Lane pulling out with a groin injury. It all worked out for Harrison in the end as Harrison, a Freeport native, will fight at the iconic Madison Square Garden on New Year’s Eve against Bruce Boyington (14-9).

The Long Island native Harrison had defended his Titan FC featherweight title for the fourth consecutive time against Bellator veteran Alexandre Bezerra, where he won on Titan FC 41 via unanimous decision back in September, which was his last fight.

In his previous fight, on Titan FC 39; he defeated Deivison Francisco Ribereiro via TKO at the 2:13 mark of round three to remain #1 in the featherweight division.

“The Bull”, who fights out of Bellmore Kickboxing Academy, made his professional MMA debut at the ROC (Ring of Combat) 39 on November 18, 2011. After winning seven straight in the ROC, the Long Island native has strung seven-consecutive wins in Titan FC.

His opponent, the 37-year-old Boyington, last fought on August 20 where he lost via unanimous decision to Musa Khamanaev on the ACB 43 card. Previously, Boyington, who fights out of Bangor, Maine, won on the WSOF 31 card to string together five consecutive victories.

The WSOF New York City card is an 11-bout, four-title fight card that will take place at The Theatre at Madison Square Garden and will be televised live on NBC Sports Network.
