LaFlare back after taking time off

(Long Island, NY., March 1, 2018) – Ryan LaFlare, one of Long Island’s top fighters, is back in action as he takes on Alex Garcia on April 21, at UFC Fight Night 128 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

LaFlare (13-2), from Lindenhurst, last fought at UFC Long Island at NYCB Live’s Nassau Coliseum, where he lost via KO to Alex Oliveria in July.

The Long Island native was riding a two-fight winning streak before he got knocked out by Oliveria’s knee as he went in for a takedown early in round two.

He will face Garcia (15-4), who is coming off a second-round submission win over Muslim Salikhov last November. Garcia has alternated wins and losses in his last six fights.

Two other Long Islanders will be showcased on this card, as Aljamain Sterling and Merab Dvalishvili will both fight in their respective bantamweight bouts.

A pair of lightweights will headline the card as Kevin Lee takes on Edson Barboza at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
