Jared Gordon Wins In UFC Debut

Gordon dominates in OKC

(Oklahoma City, OK., June 25, 2017) – New York’s Jared Gordon make an emphatic UFC debut on June 25 in Oklahoma City on the UFC Fight Night 112 card as he beat Mike Quinones via TKO in round two at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Gordon, in his biggest fight of his MMA career, didn’t show any signs of nerves or jitters as he controlled the entire fight.

From the beginning bell, Gordon was pressuring aggressively and was very active in what was a competitive round.

In round two, it was all Gordon (13-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) as he got a huge takedown early and was very active from the top. Quinones couldn’t do anything to get out of Gordon’s mount.

The fight got back to the feet and that’s when Gordon took over hitting Quinones with everything he had.

Finally, the ref saw enough and stopped the fight to give Gordon the win via TKO at 4:24 of round two.

It couldn’t have been a better debut for Gordon, who resides out of Astoria, Queens, and trains out of Renzo Gracie Academy.

Gordon was raised in his early years on Long Island, where he attended The Wheatley High School.

In the main event on UFC Fight Night 112, Kevin Lee defeated Mike Chiesa via RNC at the 4:47 mark of round one.
