Ohio University has retained its ranking as the top sports graduate program in the world, according to Sport Business International. Ohio was named as the top program in last year's inaugural rankings, which take into account financial success after graduation, quality of teaching, satisfaction levels and other factors.

Ohio University’s MBA and Master of Sports Administration has retained its crown as the best postgraduate sports course in the world.
The American university’s course, which topped SportBusiness International’s Postgraduate Sports Course Rankings when it was launched in 2012, beat dozens of entries from North America, Europe, Asia and Australasia to be top of the class in 2013.
“We are delighted to have kept our place at the top,” said Dr. Andy Kreutzer, chairman of the university’s sports administration department. “This part of the industry is becoming very competitive all around the world, so we are trying to do more and more to ensure we stay ahead of the game.”
The number of courses that entered doubled over the past 12 months, and this year’s rankings have a more detailed analysis. Region-by-region comparisons, a focus on the best online courses and the university that produces the wealthiest alumni in the world will be revealed for 2013. The full 2013 rankings will be published in the May issue of SportBusiness International magazine.
