7:30 am – My alarm goes off. Time to get up for CrossFit with Caitlin Munchel, Preston McClellan and Matt Gottfried.
7:45 am – Leave for CrossFit in the cold. I shiver and complain the entire way there.
7:55 am – Arrive at CrossFit.
8:13 am - Begin the most difficult CrossFit workout I’ve done since I have arrived in Athens. 29 reps of 8 exercise 2 times with a 35 minute time limit.
8:40:16 am – Finish my workout in 27:16.
9:00 am – Head back out into the cold back to the Summit.
9:15 am – Make a protein shake, ice my knee, get my morning dose of SportCenter, and burn the new Mumford & Son’s CD (Thanks Caitlin).
9:45 am – Hop in the shower to start the rest of my day.
10:10 am – Set my alarm for a 25 minute nap.
10:35 am – My alarm goes off for the second time. Time to get up and start being studious.
11:30 am – Catch the bus to campus with the majority of my classmates. Grab a coffee shortly after getting off the bus at Copeland. The coffee shop has Carmel Apple Cider’s. It’s officially three months until Christmas.
12:00 pm – Pfahl’s class is, as always, very entertaining. It is my daily laugh on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
1:20 pm – Head to the Convo for Practicum with the Marketing Department.
1:30 pm – Start pulling ticket information for he Marketing Department while listening to the new Mumford & Son’s CD.
4:00 pm – Catch the bus back to the Summit.
4:25 pm – Change into more comfortable clothes, work on my Moberg journal due on Wednesday, watch an episode of Say Yes To The Dress until Caitlin gets home, so we can watch the last disc of How I Met Your Mother season 1.
5:00 pm – Settle in for 2 hours of How I Met Your Mother with Caitlin and Tracey.
7:00 pm – Find out that our class with Moberg tomorrow is cancelled, and opt to relax on the couch until everyone is back from softball.
7:40 pm – Receive a call from my brother-in-law. We talk about our Thanksgiving plans (Texas vs. TCU football), my birthday plans, and general catching up topics.
9:30 pm – Head out to Court Street for a few drinks with Caitlin, Tracey, Preston, Nate and Carey.
12:30 am – Time for bed. It’s been a wonderful Tuesday, but now it is time for Wednesday.

6:15 a.m.-Wake up to alarm. Hit snooze three times.
6:30-Actually get out of bed. Get dressed, brush my teeth, and grab a quick bowl of cereal before class.
7:10-Get on the Summit bus to go to downtown Athens.
7:30-Data Analysis class with Dr. Young begins. We go over our homework assignment that is due next week while trying to stifle yawns and keep our eyes open.
8:15-Class ends. Take a few minutes to debate whether or not I should head back to the apartment for a quick nap or just head up to the grad lounge to get started on work.
8:17-Decide on doing work. Make a resolution to try and get to bed early tonight.
8:30-Begin responding to my many unread emails.
8:45-Procrastinate by checking ESPN to get caught up on what’s happening today in sports along with Facebook.
9:00-Back to emails and watching videos for class this afternoon.
10:00-Head over to Professor Stock’s office to grab some grading for my GA.
11:30-Complete grading of accounting quizzes and filling out of the grading spreadsheet. Return quizzes to Professor Stock.
12:00-Grab lunch with John Bollinger over at Baker Center. Discuss some of the many opportunities to get involved with the Southern Ohio Copperheads over the summer as well as my Copperheads project for practicum.
1:30-Head back to the Summit. Let the dog out to go to the bathroom. Take a mental health break by watching an episode of The Office. Laugh hysterically at Michael Scott’s antics.
2:15-Finish up the journal that is due at 4:00.
3:30-Catch the bus again for my return to Copeland.
3:45-Edit journal one more time. Print it.
4:10-Marketing class with Dr. Moberg begins. We discuss how to conduct an external analysis.
6:00-Class ends. Back to the Summit.
6:20-Make a quick dinner of baked chicken and macaroni and cheese. Sit down and watch Big Bang Theory.
7:00-Phone call with Ohio alum Paul Kruger. Discuss how to break into baseball operations and the MLB draft.
7:45-Work on homework for class tomorrow.
8:50-IM softball. We lose.
10:00-Still smarting over the loss, I continue the homework I started earlier.
11:25-Tired of homework. Begin entering data for an independent project I’m working on with Clayton Zoellner regarding pitcher injuries.
1:30-Realize two hours have gone by and I’m very tired. Failed to live up to the resolution I had made with myself to go to bed early. Resolve to sleep in tomorrow.
1:35-Set alarm for 9:00 a.m. and go to bed.

9:00am – I woke up and texted a few of my classmates. We were planning on having a pancake breakfast to celebrate a nice day’s sleep-in. However, we all opted to take advantage of the sleep-in more than the breakfast.
9:43am – Got out of bed and enjoyed a hearty breakfast of Trix cereal. They are not just for kids!
9:44am – Watched an episode of Modern Family to compliment my delicious and colorful cereal choice.
10:04am – Think about showering.
10:08am – Still thinking about showering.
10:09am – Decide to adjust my fantasy football line-ups instead of showering. It is a tough life as a General Manager of a team.
10:15am – Think about showering.
10:16am – Decide to finalize the finances for my company back and email the employees.
11:02am – Push has come to shove. I must get ready to shower.
11:03am – Turn on my shower playlist and jam out while showering.
11:28am – Hop on the Summit bus. It was way over capacity.
11:40am – Arrive at Copeland Hall and head up to the sixth floor with Caitlin and Lindsae.
12:00pm – Go out to Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch with Mr. Kahler, Caitlin, Lindsae, and Kelsey. We discussed topics such as our transition as first years in the program, fun facts about us, and various industry concepts.
2:00pm – Worked on a goal setting assignment in Grad Lounge at Copeland Hall.
4:00pm – Head back to the Summit with Julianne to finish off a Data Analysis assignment.
4:28pm – Decide to workout with Julianne, but due to the lack of available treadmills we went for a run along the Ohio University golf course.
4:40pm – Begin run.
5:20pm – Arrive back at the bottom of the Summit hill and decide to run AND NOT walk up the hill.
5:25pm – Still running.
5:30pm – Still running.
5:33pm – Victory is ours!
5:35pm – After a powerhouse training run to dethrone the second years from their O’Malley Cup pedestal, we decide to do a weight-lifting workout.
6:10pm – Shower time with the shower playlist. If you don’t have one, GET ONE. Everyone should sing in the shower.
6:47pm – Dinner and smoothie time. I had some leftover beef pasta that I made on Monday with a peace, strawberry, banana, and pineapple smoothie. Apparently I have decided to replace my vegetables with fruit.
7:13pm – Read the Long Tail, which is the longest tale. Well named but well enjoyed!
8:40pm – The Shaunster Monster (aka Shauna) came over to work on Data Analysis. Friends helping friends to get stuff done! This is the beauty of living all together at the Summit.
10:30pm – Walk Shauna home and visit with her roomies Julianne and Carey. We talked about class, assignments, and meetings that we have in the next few days.
11:30pm – Head home to write about my eventful and productive day.
12:14am – Get to bed because I have an early morning swim ahead with my fellow Canadian Dave.
