Giving back has always been an integral part of the Ohio University Sports Administration tradition. From alumni helping other alums network to the fact that current students can open the green book and call alumni for advice, the program truly emphasizes helping its own. Now that tradition is continuing with the inaugural Professional MSA class of 2012 as they reached a 100% in donation participation in their first year of giving back to the program.
Class president B.C. Johnson (’12) truly believes that the culture at OU is something that he and his classmates have embraced, “Our goal from the beginning was 100% participation. We wanted to get in the habit of giving back to Ohio University and 100% will continue to be our goal.”
While many of Johnson’s classmates have already seen success in the working world even before embarking on their OU endeavor, he feels that the giving is just beginning for the Professional MSA Class of 2012, “The amount we give will grow over the years as we progress in our careers. It is our way of saying thank you to OU for allowing us to take part in the first PMSA class.”
The class of 2012 has also become more involved with other aspects of the program, as they along with the Professional MSA Class of 2013 raised $2,500 for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation through their efforts during the O’Bleness Health System Race for a Reason this past April.
