Dear Alums and Friends,
Another school year is coming to a close here at Ohio University, and another MSA class is getting ready to venture off into the sports business industry. I am very proud of the accomplishments that this year's class has made, namely the one they announced this past weekend at Symposium. Coming together and brainstorming the perfect "class gift", all thirty students financially contributed to endow a scholarship in the name of Ms. Teresa Tedrow. This award will be given in the future to a female MSA student who is a GA in the Center for Sports Administration. Teresa was flattered, and honored to receive the award in her name.
Symposium weekend was a success in every manner possible. My hat's off to the organizing committee in the Class of '08 as a lot of hard work went into the event. For those of you who could not make it back to Athens this year, we missed you and hope you can join us next year on May 15-16, 2009.
Thanks to all of you who continue to support the SAFM Annual Fund. We are making great use of this fund to help generate additional GA positions and tuition waivers for our students. This year we have raised over $60,000 and will keep the fund open until the end of June. If you haven't already made your donations or if you have any questions regarding the annual fund, please feel free to give me a call at 740-593-4666.
All my best!
