The Class of 2005 will be coming back to Athens, Ohio to celebrate their five-year reunion at the 2010 Symposium. During their celebration, five of their class members have offered to share their knowledge and experience with current students and alumni on Saturday, May 1st at 9 a.m. in Walter Hall. We hope you will join us to hear this distinguished panel of speakers.
Dusty Kilgour ('05)
Director of Golf & Tennis Center – Ohio University
Dustin Kilgour currently resides in Jackson, OH with his wife Katie and daughter Sydnie (9) and Rylie (3). He works for Ohio University as the Director of the Golf and Tennis Center. He rejoined Ohio University in June of 2009 as the Director and began a Ph.D. program in Higher Education shortly thereafter. He is directly responsible for every facet of the Golf and Tennis Center.
Prior to joining Ohio University, Dustin worked for the Memphis Redbirds, AAA affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, as Director of Baseball and Stadium Operations. During his tenure there he oversaw an $85 million stadium and was responsible for the design and implementation of a $3.1 million budget. He also served as the direct liaison to the St. Louis Cardinals on all matters related to player movement and team travel.
Dustin is originally from Oak Hill, OH and graduated from Ohio University with B.S. Sport Management.
Nicole Lee ('05)
Account Executive, Integrated Sales & Partnership Marketing – NHL Enterprises
Nicole has been with the NHL Enterprises in Toronto for the past three years working to activate partnerships through NHL events such as the Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic, the NHL All-star Game, the NHL Draft Lottery, and the NHL Stanley Cup. Some of her accounts include Bud Light, Bridgestone, and VISA all of which she leverages through different promotions and marketing activities.
Prior to joining the NHL, Nicole worked for the Michelob ULTRA Open at Kingsmill in Williamsburg, VA. She served as a Sales and Marketing Manager and helped grow the sponsors associated with this prestigious LPGA Tour event through sales and activation. During her time in between her master degrees at Ohio University, Nicole worked with Disney’s Wide World of Sports as an Alliance Development Intern.
Nicole earned her undergraduate degree at Wilfrid Laurier University.
Gina Rosser ('05)
Director of Business Operations, Duke University
Gina Rosser returned to Duke University for the second time in March of 2008 after working as the Athletic Business Manager at Temple University for a year. Prior to her stint at Temple, Rosser served as the Assistant Business Manager at Duke from 2005-07. This was her first position after leaving Athens where she worked in Ohio’s Athletic Ticket Office as a graduate assistant during her second year. She now serves as Director of Business Operations and supervises daily operation of the business office while also working closely with the Associate AD of Business on budgetary issues within the department.
A four-year member of the women’s basketball team at High Point University, Rosser received degrees in business administration and sport management. While a student, Rosser worked in various offices within High Point’s Athletic Department.
Rosser is originally from New London, N.C., and now resides in Durham.
Amy Weinstein ('05)
Associate General Manager- ISP Sports, Villanova
Amy Weinstein currently resides in Philadelphia, PA and works with the Villanova ISP Sports Network as the Associate General Manager. She joined ISP in the winter of 2008 and is responsible for selling and servicing corporate partnerships and marketing accounts for Villanova University Athletics.
Amy’s career path shows that she is no stranger to sports marketing or collegiate athletics. Prior to joining ISP, Amy worked for Octagon as a Senior Account Executive, Turnkey Sports & Entertainment as an Executive Recruiter, and in an Associate position with Velocity Sports & Entertainment. Throughout her career path she has worked with clients in the NBA, MLB, MLS, NASCAR and the PGA Tour.
Amy was a four-year Ivy League student-athlete as a member of the University of Pennsylvania Women's Lacrosse team and earned a B.A. in Psychology.
Paul Woody ('05)
Assistant General Manager- ISP Sports, UNLV
Paul Woody recently joined ISP Sports as an Assistant General Manager for the Rebel ISP Sports Network at University of Nevada – Las Vegas (UNLV). In this role, his primary responsibility is selling and servicing advertising and sponsorship accounts. Prior to ISP, he served as the Manager of Business Development at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway (LVMS) for four and a half years. At the LVMS, Paul was responsible for selling and managing suite leases, sponsorships, and advertising for multiple facilities.
Paul also holds experience in collegiate athletics having worked in the athletic department at Texas Christian University (TCU) as the Assistant Director of Sports Marketing. At TCU, he oversaw marketing efforts for volleyball, women’s basketball, and assisted with the marketing campaign for football. Paul is originally from the Dallas, Texas area and earned his undergraduate degree from Hendrix College. He is presently working on his dissertation in pursuit of his Ph.D. in Public Affairs from the UNLV Greenspun School of Urban Affairs.
Aaron Wright ('05)
MAA Program Coordinator – Ohio University
Aaron Wright recently accepted a new position within the Division of Sports Administration at Ohio University as coordinator of the online Master's in Athletic Administration program. The MAA program is directed towards current and prospective high school athletic administrators. In this role, Aaron will oversee efforts to significantly expand the reach of the program. He is also in the process of obtaining his Ph.D. in higher education while at Ohio University.
Since graduating from the Sports Administration graduate program at Ohio University, Aaron has been able to carry on the pride and tradition as an instructor in the undergraduate Sport Management program. He has been able to teach a variety of courses, including Introduction to Sport Industry, History of Sport Industry, Sport Marketing, and Financial Issues in Sport. For the past two years, he has also served as the coordinator of the undergraduate program, and is responsible for scheduling, academic advising and other program administration.
Aaron was a student athlete at Haverford College, and upon graduating he went on to play and coach basketball professionally in Europe for three years. Upon returning to the U.S., he served eight years as a high school athletic director and boys' basketball coach in Maryland. Aaron then went on to work in NCAA Division III intercollegiate athletics administration at Middlebury College in Vermont.
