About Ohio University's Professional MSA Program

Ohio PMSAOverview

 

Since introducing a Master of Sports Administration degree in 1966, Ohio University has long been recognized as the birthplace of sports education. Today, the College of Business, through the Department of Sports Administration, offers coursework leading to the Professional Master of Sports Administration degree in a manageable online format designed to meet the needs of practicing sports professionals. Curriculum

The Ohio Professional MSA program curriculum includes three components:

  • Sports Administration Core
  • Applied Projects
  • Current Issues

The Sports Administration Core allows students to apply business concepts, principles, and theories to examine issues that are commonly encountered by sport executives.

The following courses are included in the Sports Administration Core:

  • Leadership in Sports Administration
  • Sports Marketing
  • Sponsorship in Sports
  • Event and Facility Management
  • Sports Governance
  • Sports Law
  • Finance Administration of Sports
